I actually used a lab from this page this year which the kids really seemed to like. After fumbling their way through a real titration, I had them do one on the computer. It was much easier, and they actually got acceptable numbers (which they NEVER get in the real lab). I wish I'd written down some of the comments they made, but many were quite positive. My goal this week (spring break) is to create an assignment for the students to complete in the computer lab, which I've got reserved for the Tuesday after Easter (they're re-teaching the topics to each other the next two weeks).

Matt,
Have you found characteristics that make a good simulation or a bad one?
Jessica
I want to say that virtual labs can be great especially at schools that don't have the financial resources to purchase supplies and equipment. I think it is great that you tried a virtual lab with your students especially a titration. I think back to my chemistry classes in college, especially analytical chemistry, and remember how titrations could be difficult if you weren't experienced. I think the virtual lab is a great and inexpensive way to practice.
Matt,
These look great - and a lot of fun too! I would love to tie some of this into math! Do you have any ideas that I could use in Pre-Algebra? We will be starting graphing soon. When I teach this, I stress relationships and patterns.
